Hey folks. I’m back with another episode of the Jadu Full-Stack Developer Fellowship Program. My previous article was all about technical stuff and coding. But guess what? Jadu is not all about technical skills. It focuses on non-technical skills i.e. soft skills as much as it focuses on technical skills. Sir Saad, our mentor for the program discusses these soft skills with some fun practices and practical examples. Let’s have a look at this week’s learning!

The topic for this week’s non-technical skills was all about Personal Branding. How a person brands himself with the unique combination of skills and experiences and how to bring it into our use. This is was the sole learning objective of the class. During the lecture, we learned about how a person can get attention if he or she goes out of the box.

What made it more fun, was the practical example served by Sir Saad. He deliberated over the example of how a person can get someone’s attention. For example, if a person makes a combination of strawberry and biryani. Later, after the session, he practically did this example and uploaded it on Twitter.

Woahh!! the internet exploded with the articles and memes on #strawbiryani, etc. Here’s a little view of the articles on a Pakistani man making strawbiryani!

So far, the outcome has made us realize what we have to do to make an impact on our fellow peers and interviewers. You need to make yourself a brand to stand out from the crowd. You need to inspire your audience to trust you because that’s when you’re going to get opportunities.
